IMPROVE-PMR Programme

You have been prioritised, by your GP, as someone who may benefit from the exciting new IMPROVE-PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica) support service, a free programme which aims to improve your overall health, reduce pain and minimise potential side effects from treatment.

What's involved?

This programme will benefit individuals living with PMR by:

Monitoring your symptoms
Managing your steroids
Minimising possible side-effects of steroid treatment
Joining up care across GP and hospital services
Improving your wellbeing

The IMPROVE-PMR programme has been created in collaboration with patients living with PMR, caregivers and hospital specialists. IMPROVE-PMR is being rolled out as a trial to improve care for people living with PMR.

We will keep you informed about the progress of IMPROVE-PMR. If the results of this work are promising, the NHS will use the information that you and healthcare staff provide to develop a larger trial which will compare results for patients using or not using IMPROVE-PMR.

How to register

To register for the IMPROVE-PMR programme, simply access your secure patient portal below using your NHS number (which you can find in the text you received) and your date of birth to complete a short questionnaire.

If you do not wish to take part in the service, please still access your portal and complete the questionnaire to prevent further contacts regarding the opportunity.
